Genevieve is a passionate and talented singer, pianist, and teacher. Since graduating with a Diploma in Business, she decided on a different, more satisfying career of exposing and inspiring young ones to the various performing arts.
Teaching since 2009, Genevieve has gained much experience in different aspects of performing arts including vocals, various instruments such as the piano, keyboard, basic guitar and percussion, as well as dance. She has the experience of teaching a wide range of age groups between ages 3 to 27.
Aside from being an arts instructor, Genevieve is also a seasoned performer. She sings and plays the keys on a weekly basis at various venues and has graced the stage of some renowned venues such as One Altitude, the world’s tallest rooftop bar, as well as the Marina Bay Floating Platform. Together with her band, Afterhours, they have been playing at various places such as Timbre, and been on different radio and television shows.
Some of her achievements since entering the music industry of Singapore also include being part of the winning band for Eco Music Challenge 2011. (Afterhours to ‘World Without Fences’), and doing session work as a vocalist for various projects such as National Day.
Her latest achievement is being part of the winning band for Yamaha’s Asian Beat Band Competition 2013, where she contributed by being the band’s 2nd keyboardist & backup vocalist. The band will represent Singapore and compete in the Asian Beat Grand Finals 2013 in Jakarta, Indonesia, come November 2013.
She has also been accepted into one of the world’s top music schools, Berklee College Of Music.
