The Music Lab’s Strum & Sing classes satisfy all of the above – whether you’re aspiring to become a pop star, looking to croon your evenings away or make melodies, our instructors will equip you with guitar strumming skills, techniques and patterns that accompany your singing.

Pick up various music genres like pop, rock and country. Learn the trick to multi-tasking efficiently with a guitar and your own voice. Ace tricky rhythms by learning to count and manipulate beats.

Not only that - knowing how to strum and sing enables you to compose your own songs, and let your stories be heard.

Strumming & Vocal Methods

Understand basic strumming and vocal methods, and how best to comfortably play the guitar and sing at the same time. Gain confidence by practising your favourite songs and discover the techniques in counting beats and keeping time.

Strumming & Hand Positions

Learn basic to advanced strumming techniques. From simple strums to muted, swing, chnking and dead strumming patterns, learn how to mix them up and create awesome rhythms!

Music Genre Exploration

Our instructors can start you off with the genre you'd like to study, or guide you in exploring various styles of music to be an all-rounded musician. Regardless of whether it's pop, rock, jazz, Chinese, Malay, Korean music or Western songs, we'll guide you in mastering it.

Gain Gigging Experience

By cross-training in our Band Performance Studies course, you'll get jamming and performance opportunities with a band. Basically, we incorporate a segment of your strum and sing lessons with band practice sessions as well as live concerts!

Music Theory & Notation

To be completely and totally adaptable in any live gig or studio recording session, music theory and notation studies are essential in every musician's arsenal. Learn about harmony, transposition, major and minor keys and different chords.

Music Composition & Production

Learn to compose your own exciting and catchy songs by combining your strum and sing lessons with our Music Composition course! Follow it up with the popular Music Production course to start recording professional sounding music.
