Don Richmond is a Singer/Songwriter/Composer and Music Producer.
He burst onto the music scene when he released his debut album Skrooloose to critical acclaim. That
album featured a single titled Stellarblowout that became a hit on radio and that song subsequently
landed him his first composition job for the feature length film City Sharks. The soundtrack that was released
also spawned Don’s second radio hit Darlin Don’t You Know.
Don became a powerhouse in the industry after he won two awards for his next album Bent: 2005 Compass
Not resting on his laurels, he soon followed the Life! Theatre Award win with another one the following
year, this time for the play East Side Story. He has also composed music for Discovery Channel documentaries

Don was also the creative force behind Singapore Radio Station 987FM where he helmed the Creative
Producer spot for 3 years. In this 3 years, he worked relentlessly on sprucing up the audio imaging of the
station. But his proudest moment in radio came as one half of The Don And Drew Show: The First Commercial
Radio Show in Singapore to be podcast and subsequently aired in the US on The David Lawrence
Show.
Although Don is still considered green in the Ad Agency world where music is concerned, having only
composed a handful of commercial ads, the ad he will most be remembered for will be M1’s Bye Bye
Ring Ring 80s influenced jingle. The jingle won the 2007 Creative Circle Award for Best Music.
Don is also equally comfortable behind the producer’s desk having produced radio hits such as Girls And
Boys (CCCrush), Singapore Raised Filipino Made (Mike Buzza), Later Tonight (Mark Bonafide), So Bonafide
(Mark Bonafide), Round And Round (Alicia Pan) and Hey Girl (Mark Bonafide Ft. Vanessa Fernandez)
Don has also worked with artists such as X’Ho, EN-X, Alicia Pan, David Tan (Electrico), Asha Edmund,
Hady Mirza, Taufik Batisah and Vanessa Fernandez.
In 2007 Don joined forces with Singapore’s leading music producer Jason Tan to form the production
team STEAM!. In just a few short months they both embarked on a few music projects including writing,
recording and producing the LTA KPE Album (Songs from the album are still on high rotation on radio).
Having dabbled in almost every genre and music media available, Don delved into the world of Musical
Theatre with Music composed for two Musicals in 2009: Sleepless Town and Othello.
He is currently producing vocal band Budak Pantai, Singers Vanessa Fernandez and Alicia Pan.
Don has also worked with artists such as X’Ho, EN-X, Alicia Pan, David Tan (Electrico), Asha Edmund,
